MK Test Systems expands business with new innovation centre

MK Test Systems have expanded their UK facility with the addition of a new innovation centre.

Known as B5, the new innovation centre is just around the corner from MK’s headquarters in Wellington, Somerset.

Downstairs is a dedicated customer demo area and meeting space in a bright airy environment. Upstairs, the NPD team have a new electronics lab with all the space they need to continue developing MK’s world-class test equipment.

Jason Evans, Managing Director of MK Test said “The aim of securing this unit is to enable our ongoing growth plans and to support MK’s 5S and factory layout initiative.  We are exceptionally busy with a strong order book and a demanding delivery plan.  By providing the additional space,  we can hand over more of the existing factory floor to the Operations team.”

Over in the company’s headquarters ATE House, work is underway to make the most of the new space available for the operations team.  Ten new workbenches have been installed to accommodate additional space for technicians, and a dedicated service area has been created.

The fit-out of B5 was completed in August.  Several customers have already visited – and made full use of – the facility, with very positive feedback.
