Jason Evans 1

Jason Evans, Managing Director

Jason has been Sales Director and a member of the senior leadership team at MK Test for twenty of the company's thirty-one year history. On 1st January 2023, he took on the role of Managing Director.

Leading the sales team and business growth efforts, Jason's primary area of expertise is in technical application of capital business development across Aerospace, Defence and Rail industries.

With a wealth of industry knowledge and global contacts built up over his career, Jason is a trusted authority within the automatic electrical testing sector and has led the effort to position MK Test as a prime supplier, supporting many of the world's leading Aerospace, Defence and Rail OEMs and projects.

Alan Wilson 1

Alan Wilson, Engineering Director

Alan has over 40 years' experience in the Aerospace and Defence industry, the last 7 years as Engineering Director at MK Test and prior to this, 8 years working in Armoured Vehicles and Systems, in key senior engineering positions for both the MOD and industry.

Alan is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, having first obtained an BSc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bristol University. Alan's key experience is across the whole engineering development lifecycle of complex systems, including specification, design, development, integration, and trials, in addition to the management of multidisciplinary teams.

Alan's current role as Engineering Director is leading the strategic development of several new product lines for both major civil aircraft manufacturers, utilising the skills and knowledge of MK Test's team of 24 engineers.

Nick Baker 1

Nick Baker, New Product Development Manager

Nick joined MK Test eight years ago and has been the New Product Development Manager for the last five years, leading the team of five dedicated NPD engineers.

In 2011, with a view to developing his knowledge, Nick enrolled at the University of Portsmouth to study Electronic System Engineering, in which he achieved a Bachelor of Engineering with 1st Class Honours. Further to this, in 2013 Nick enrolled at the University of the West of England to study Embedded Systems and Wireless Communications, in which he achieved a Master of Science.

Nick's education and job history has given him extensive knowledge and experience in the field, allowing Nick to be an electronics engineer specialising in embedded system design of both hardware and embedded firmware.

Meet the team - David Watson 1

David Watson, Software Development Manager

David has been the Software Development Manager at MK Test since he joined the company in October 2017, leading the team of nine software engineers. Prior to employment at MK Test, David was a Software Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry.

David is an experienced Software Development Manager whose interests lie in the design and implementation of complex computer software applications. David enjoys solving problems and working on exciting new challenges, making him an excellent candidate to work on development projects.

From a military comms supplier requiring a modular solution for multiple manufacturing facilities, through to a aerospace OEM needing an intrinsically safe bond testing solution, we consistently improve test times for our customers whilst maintaining accuracy.
