MK win at the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards
MK Test have been awarded a prize at the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards at a ceremony evening on Thursday 14th July 2022.
The team won the “Careers Inspiration in Business (1-249 employees)” award for their work in STEM and supporting careers events at local Court Fields School in Wellington, Somerset.
The business was nominated for the award by Charity Hunt, Careers Advisor at Court Fields School. Charity said “I nominated MK Test to say thanks for their support this year. Many congratulations to the team!”
MK’s New Product Development Manager Nick Baker and Electronics Design Engineer Yassin Rostom accepted the award, with Nick saying “The award means a lot to us. Working with local young people is so valuable, as we know that what we get to do provides inspiration for the next generation of our potential future colleagues.”
Managing Director Carl Bullock added, “I’m so proud of the team to be recognised at the Somerset Education Business Partnership Awards. It’s great to see the work we’re doing with local schools is inspiring the next generation of engineers.”
MK Test Systems has STEM ambassadors amongst its team and encourages STEM-related engagement in the community. As well as working with Court Fields, the business have also supported a careers day and practical workshops at another other local school, Heathfield School in nearby Taunton.
