Work experience at MK Test Systems
My week at MK Test Systems
I’m in year 10 at Woodroffe School in Uplyme and I spent this week on work experience at MK Test Systems.
Throughout my work experience week I had many opportunities to get involved and learn more about the roles in the business and how the business operates. I was nervous going into a workplace environment for the first time but everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming made the nerves not last long.
Key moments for me was spending time with Sally and understanding the job she does with the website and marketing which I am passionate about outside of school. Another part I enjoyed for me was with Conor and what he has to do as the Networks and IT support role and the challenges he has to overcome which I found very informative and helpful. A more hands on moment I really enjoyed was with Chris learning about Firmware and coding a robot with sensors and making it do certain tasks. Furthermore designing and 3d printing with Sengar made me realize the wide range of roles available at MK and there is something for everyone.
Summary
Each day I learnt so much about the manufacturing and admin behind the products, this has given me a clear insight into the career path I want to take when I am older and what education paths I need to choose to achieve that.
