COMAC AMM lists BLTU4 for use on ARJ21 aircraft
COMAC AMM now lists BLTU4
The COMAC AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) for ARJ21 aircraft has been updated to specify MK Test’s BLTU4 tool as an approved loop resistance tester.
COMAC – a Chinese state-owned manufacturer of passenger aircraft – started production of the ARJ21 aircraft in 2015. There are currently 100 of the planes in operation across 10 airlines throughout China.
BLTU4 is a bond, loop and joint resistance tester designed and manufactured by MK Test Systems. It is listed in the COMAC AMM as a tool specifically designed to undertake the required test and measurement maintenance tasks for the ARJ21 aircraft.
The listing of the BLTU4 in the COMAC AMM makes it an ideal tool of choice for MROs working on ARJ21 aircraft in a maintenance capacity. Operating at 1KHz frequency also means BLTU4 can be used on Airbus planes as an alternative to the TS11194, as well for use on Bombardier aircraft. MK Test Systems can help MROs with the documentation to prove equivalency.
